Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health disorder in which a person experiences obsessions and compulsions. Obsessions are intrusive thoughts, images, or urges that are unwanted and can seem to come out of nowhere. Obsessions cause the person to be distressed, and can sometimes cause fear and shame. Compulsions are behaviors someone engages in an attempt to decrease their distress or get rid of the obsessions.
The Unfiltered Therapy team has extensive experience treating OCD with evidence-based approaches. This typically includes a combination of CBT and Exposure Therapy.
